Following the completion of my A-Levels, I chose to establish myself a self-employed Interior Decorator, primarily collaborating with my Father on contracted work. This has provided me with a diverse range of responsibilities, including managing full room decoartion projects from start to finish, overseeing tax returns and bookkeeping, and liasing with clients. A notable achievement was redesigning the kitchen area of a multi-million pound manor to the rear of Dorridge Park, where my work aimed to enhance the property’s appeal to potential buyers.

In this fast-paced environment, I provided exceptional customer service to commuters, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation during busy hours. My responsibilities included maintaining stock levels, preparing high-quality food and beverages, and ensuring the workplace was organised and clean. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, I was unable to complete planned work experience. I took this opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on, experience alongside my Father at his painting and interior decorating business. My role varied day to day, including working with relevant tools and equipment to prepare surfaces for decoration, ensuring the site remained tidy, and liasing with clients. This role helped me develop strong foundations in practical skills and customer communication.
